Oddly, if you are logged in, you aren't allowed to go to the login page. But if you are logged in you don't need to. You should see content that is just there for subscribers.
Hmm. I bet I know what the issue is. A subscriber isn't the same thing as having a user account. Subscribers send in a little money to help pay for the site. The details are on the left menu. Friends of rlp. I need to redo the graphic to reflect that new title. I never liked subscribers because they really don't get anything in return. Except occasionally I write something for them. Never an essay but usually just personal chatter.
I've also never liked sounding too commercial. For that reason, I never drop anyone from the ranks of subscriber. Some people send in $5 a month. I spend a lot of my life doing this, so the money definitely helps. But if they stop, I don't "downgrade" their account. That helps me feel like it's more of a friend thing. Hence the change in the name from subscribers to friends.
Wow, you sound pretty angry. Maybe I wasn't clear because nothing has happened. I've just changed the name from subscriber to "Friend of RLP." Nothing has changed. If you were a subscriber, you're just a Friend of RLP now instead.
You certainly don't have to have a blog either. I'm not sure what made you think that. If you do have a blog, I'm happy to list it here. If you don't, whatever. It's your life. Most people don't have blogs. I think those of us who do are probably a little crazy.

I've always thought of the special content section for those who support the blog as kind of like the ladies parlour in the church! No one is quite sure what happens there, but it looks nice!

Try glancing up to the right of that screen. There is a small box that says "subscribers." There is a list of posts underneath.

So being a subscriber isn't enough to make me friendly? I have to have a blog as well?
Could you be a little less unfriendly?
Let's just say I'm a little unhappy.
