Little help here?

So I’m trying to figure out exactly what this blog will look like over the next couple of years. I’ve committed myself to putting some serious time into RLP. I thought maybe you could help me think about this.

Generate Magazine

Leave it to Paul Soupiset and his emergent friends to go retro on us. Yeah, they're going back to the magazine, like my daughter has fallen in love with vinyl records. She keeps buying them and wanting me to listen to them. Like I didn't live through the whole album thing the first time around.

And I've lived through the magazine thing too. And was settling into the idea that maybe magazines were done.

Not when the entire freakin magazine is one stunning work of art. Do you like pretty things? I mean do you like to go to museums and look at beautiful art? Well, you should lay your hand on this magazine because it's theology meets emergent thinking meets poetry meets photography meets Paul Soupiset's own inimitable style.

It's a limited run deal. I got mine in my hand. You'll have to subscribe if you want one. But this is definitely a venture I'm keeping my eye on.

If only because it's so yummy beautiful.

My favorite part of the first issue: Mark Menjivar's real photos of what's inside people's refrigerators. It says a lot about you.

pretty slick, man.

Amahoro?

Wow - what a surprise to see that in print. That was the first word of Kirundi I was taught as a way of greeting others in peace while in Burundi. I look forward to finding this sometime in the near future.

Peace to you from Pilgrim's Rest.

My Latest Book

turtles I’m proud to announce that Turtles All The Way Down came out in November of 2009. This was my first experience with the Consafo model of social media community publishing.

2000 copies were printed. We sold well over 500 as advance purchases or in the weeks leading up to Christmas. This paid for the printing costs completely.

Purchase at GracefullThings.
